現代の服の選択は健常者にとっても、障がい者にとっても制限されている。ユニバーサルデザインでは、障がい者と健常者の両方が着用しやすい服を提案する。
障がい者のニーズと健常者のニーズを組み合わせたデザインを通じて、特別なものから一般的なものへのアプローチを採用し、ユニバーサルファッションを実現する。
本研究は、YKKの新しいファスナー AiryString® を活用し、人間工学に基づいた機能的な衣服を再定義することを目指している。

The selection of clothing in modern times is limited not only for able-bodied individuals but also for people with disabilities.Universal design aims to propose clothing that is easy to wear for both physically challenged and able-bodied individuals. Through designing in combination of the needs of individuals with disabilities and those of able-bodied individuals, the approach adopted to create universal fashion was to create something from the specialized to more common.This research aims to redefine functional clothing based on ergonomics by utilizing YKK’s new zipper, AiryString® , in order to achieve universal fashion.
