風と布
CONCEPT
「風」とは、気圧の変動により起こる現象である。常に存在はしているが、意識することは少ない。「風」は、どのように私たちの周りを囲んでいるのだろうか。例えば「凪」は風が収まり波が穏やかになることを表し、風が限りなく無力である一方、「風食」はゆっくりと時間をかけて岩石や地表を削り、浸食することであり、風が巨大な見えない力を持つことを示す。
本研究では、優しさと破壊力の両面を併せ持つ「風の姿」を探るべく、風の痕跡を布を通して表現することを目的とする。

Form of the Wind
CONCEPT
The wind is a phenomenon caused by the flow of air due to atmospheric pressure variation. It is always present, but we are rarely aware of it. How exactly does this “wind” surround us? For example, there are windless conditions, where no wind blows at all, while ‘wind erosion’ is a huge invisible force that can generate deserts by slowly chipping away and eroding rocks and land surfaces over time. The aim of this research is to find traces of the wind and to express its existence through fabrics by exploring the wind that has both aspects of a life creator and a death bringer, or its gentleness and its destructive power.
