異素材ミックスで表現するクトゥルフ
CONCEPT
クトゥルフ神話はHoward Phillips Lovecraftが執筆した架空の神話体系であり、宇宙における人類の無意味さと、災厄に終わる知識の探求が共通のテーマである。クトゥルフ神話は、多くのアーティストのインスピレーション源となり、不気味で理解しがたい怪物のイメージを数多く生み出してきた。本研究では、クトゥルフ神話をインスピレーションとして、生き物や建築の構造を研究し、異素材の組み合わせを通じて、深海生物にも宇宙生物にも似た怪物の不思議な美しさや怪しさを表現した衣服を制作することを目的とした。

Cthulhu Expressed by Mixing Different Materials
CONCEPT
Cthulhu Mythos is a fictinal system of mythology written by Howard Phillips Lovecraft, whose common themes are the insignificance of humanity in the universe and the quest for knowledge that ends in disaster. Cthulhu Mythos has been a source of inspiration for many artists and has produced numerous images of eerie and incomprehensible monsters. The purpose of this research was, by studying creatures and architectural structures with inspiration from Cthulhu Mythos, to create garments that express the mysterious beauty and weirdness of monsters that resemble both deep-sea and space creatures through combining different materials.
