日本の伝統文化であるお祭り、民俗芸能、工芸技術は時代の影響を受けて廃れていく可能性がある。継承、発展させるため、伝統文化を保護または活かす必要がある。伝統文化を衣服に応用して、多くの人々に保護する意識を起こさせる事が研究の目的である。日本の伝統文化である折り、祝儀袋、番傘、提灯などの調査を目的として、ワークショップに参加した。作品制作では、家紋を取り入れたオリジナル模様をインクジェットプリントで表現して作品制作を行った。

Japan’s traditional festivals, folk arts, and craft techniques may become obsolete due to the influence of the times. In order to inherit and develop traditional culture, it is necessary to protect or utilize them.The purpose of this research is to apply traditional and cultural elements to clothing to raise awareness of protection among many people. I attended a workshop to study and to do research traditional Japanese culture such as folding, congratulatory gift envlopes, bangasa (coarse oil-paper umbrellas), and chochin (paper lanturns). In creating the artwork, inkjet printing was used to make original patterns incorporating family crests.
