私は2020年に日本へ移住した。その時の感情は、希望と快適さ、逆にもろさと不安の対照的な表現が混ざり合っていた。本研究ではその感情をもとに作品構成して研究を行った。快適さはコンピューターニットによる製品に近い作品を制作した。もろさと不安は実験的にバイオプラスチック、アルギン酸の糸を制作した。また、さまざまな方々からの協力もあり、提供していただいた中古の着物でパッフルパッチワークを制作した。生分解性のできる素材を使用して、サステナブルなコレクションを制作した。

I moved to Japan in 2020. The emotions I had at the time were a mixture of contrasting expressions of hope and comfort, fragility and anxiety. In this research, my aim is to create garments inspired from those feelings.The comfort is represented by a chunky computer knitted garment, which is close to a product on the market. Fragility and anxiety are expressed by experimental bioplastic thread which was made of alginate and glycerin. With the cooperation of many people offering me old kimonos, I could create thick strings out of patchwork of kimono materials. I made a chunky knit top of the strings. I used biodegradable materials, which makes this collection sustainable.
